Sponsorship

We need your help, to help us get to the start and end of the race for a good cause!

Sponsor now! //

We've got a bunch of expenses which we need to cover, and we can't do it alone! We're racing for a good cause. The 24 hours of LeMons race is supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia.

Any financial support which you can give us will help get us to the race, and most importantly get us to the end of the race (hopefully)!

Sponsorship FAQ

Is this secure?

Yes. Absolutely. We're using "GoFundMe" to collect our sponsorship dollars for us and they use a secure website to collect your card details.

Why do you need sponsorship?

Whilst the "24hours of LeMons" race has a $1,000 limit on the cost of the car there are a whole bunch of other expenses which go into enter the event.

You are sponsoring the team to enter, not donating directly to the event or charity.

What am I sponsoring?

We are aiming to raise $10,000 fo the event, of which over half will be donated to the event to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Expenses for the event include;

- Team entry fee $5,200

- Vehicle cost, including repairs $1,000

- Fuel for the event $1,100

- Vehicle roll cage and safety elements (tyres, brakes, bearings etc) $2,200

What do I get for my sponsorship?

Well a few things;

1) You're helping us support a damn good cause, the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia. So a warm fuzzing feeling for a start.

2) If you get your sponsorship in early enough we're going to try to get everyones name on the car, to thank you for your support. Who knows, you might make the news!

3) If there are any 'corporate' sponsors who would like banners / logos displayed we'd be more than happy to oblige. Send us an email and we'll see what we can do.

4) We're going to ensure that all sponsors are kept up to date on the progress - so you'll receive a regular email update.

What a bargain!

What happens to any left over sponsorship?

We're keeping a tight budget. If there's any sponsorship left over at the end of the event it will be donated directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia.

During the race there's an opportunity to 'buy' your way out of penalties - these are donations which are given directly to charity. We think we'll need to use a few of them!

Can I provide sponsorship other than cash?

If you have something else which you think we might need for the race and want to give it to us in lieu of cash sponsorship then we'd love to hear from you! Drop us an email by clicking here.

Is the sponsorship tax deductible?

Unfortunately we're not a charity and we don't have a tax exempt status, therefore we can't provide a tax receipt for your sponsorship. In fact this is a personal sponsorship program, not a donation to a charity or organisation. Because the funding isn't being given directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia we can't provide you with a receipt from them either. Sorry, though talk to your accountant to see if they've got any good ideas.

Are there any associated fees?

We're using GoFundMe to collect the sponsorship. They handle all the money, provide the credit card facilities, keep a log of all the transfers and provide the web security. For all this they hang on to 6.75% of each transaction. There's no additional charge to you.
