Saturday the 1st of August saw the roll cage build for our lemon begin to take shape with the help of Master Fabricator Gray Myers and Master Fabricator and Welder Gavin Shaw both from the Varley stable. We were lucky enough to have some photo's of other cars of the same model that are currently running in Improved Production this coupled with the CAMS manual gave a good reference for the build.
During this process the seat rails were fitted and final seat fitment took place as well, with 6 different drivers all with vastly differing heights and weights there will have to be some seat moulds produced !! The seat rails used are genuine Sparco rails to ensure that maximum safety of our drivers is maintained.

Everything kicked off at 0600 so that a full days work could be completed and the cage went together very well. With the end of the day approaching we had approx 85% of the cage done and 30% of the welding. This just leaves us with the welding to complete and a few more bars to weld in prior to having the cage inspected as we intend to have it CAMS approved to ensure we meet all safety rules and regs. Then the cage will be painted and we can roll out for our next test day that is scheduled for early September.

Here is am looking pretty happy with it all at this point !
A massive thank you has to go to both Gavin and Gray as well as the Varley group for the huge effort that has been contributed to our cause.
